Abstract

Formation damage is a complex phenomenon that occurs in most reservoirs. Particle capture by formation is the main reason for formation damage. There are different mechanisms for particle capture; this work is concerned with particle capture due to straining or plugging.  We did a thorough literature review on formation damage in early section of the paper.

In later sections, two models that deal were formation damage are introduced. These models are parallel tubes with mixing chambers, and network model. Our objective is to compare filtration coefficient calculated by each methods.
